BUILDING:
Flory 7 is a charming tenement house with soul. It was built in 1924 by Bank Polski for its employees. The building was designed by Zdzisław Mączeński, a well-known professor at the Warsaw University of Technology. The building has a traditional classicist façade with modernist elements. It did not suffer significant damage during World War II. After the war, Bank Polski renovated it and divided the larger 180 m2 apartments into two parts. Currently, the tenement house is managed by a housing community.
LOCATION:
Flory 7 is located in a particularly charming district of the city, among beautiful, renovated tenement houses. Its closest neighbors include the Belvedere Palace, the Prime Minister’s Office, many embassies, and the Royal Łazienki Park. Flory Street is one of the most desirable addresses in Warsaw, surrounded by cozy cafes, bars, and restaurants, as well as local grocery stores, bakeries, and the Plac Unii shopping center with nearly 60 stores. There are also two Zdrofit fitness clubs nearby, a 4- and 6-minute walk away, one with squash courts, and a swimming pool on Polna Street, an 8-minute walk away. There are many parks in the area: Pole Mokotowskie, an 8-minute walk away, Agrykola (11 minutes) and Morskie Oko (10 minutes).
Public transport:
This is an excellent transport hub – there are numerous bus stops nearby (116, 119, 131, 138, 166, 167, 168, 180, 195, 222, 501, 519, 522), tram stops (4, 10, 14, 18, 35) and the Politechnika metro station, which is a 7-minute walk away.
The location is very well connected to the city center and Mokotów by bicycle routes. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the Central Business District and 25 minutes to the Mokotów Business District.
