BUILDING:

The building permit for a five-story apartment building with outbuildings on Marszalkowska Street was issued in March 1914, on the site of Posępny’s former machine factory. The war halted work, and the building was completed after 1920. The early modern building was distinguished by flat bay windows, a two-story plinth part, and large storefronts. Before 1939, it housed Eugeniusz Hebda’s brush and millinery store.

The tenement survived the war and was incorporated into the MDM blocks. In the early 1950s, the luxury restaurant Rarytas opened here, intended to surpass Bristol and Kameralna.
