Pafos, Pafos, Sea Caves
A unique villa in Sea Caves
The development – “The Garden of Eden” – was designed to complement and be complemented by its immediate surroundings.
The project is located on top of a small canyon. The area is mainly scrub, grassland and trees with areas of open cream or white limestone. The development fits into the landscape pattern, as it is planted with mature trees and a garden that blends in with the natural vegetation.
Delicate, natural colors on the exterior, highlighted yet softened by the use of terra cotta screens and natural wood panels, lead seamlessly into the interior living space.
The exterior color scheme and use of wood continue inside, with soft sand-colored walls and ceilings, accented by walnut doors and soft, warm downlighters that are unobtrusive but effective in creating a homey atmosphere.
The feeling of luxury in the interiors is accentuated by panels of travertine marble used in the bathrooms and as headrests in the bedrooms. Marble is not only a luxurious accent, but is also known for its cool touch and helps lower the temperature while sleeping.
The kitchen is equipped with high-end cabinetry and electrical appliances from top European manufacturers.
Finally, the project’s landscaping has been carefully considered so that mature tree plantings blend with the naturally occurring greenery. Smaller shrubs also reflect the environment, chosen from species endemic to Cyprus. An automatic irrigation system was used to facilitate maintenance, and in the interest of sustainability, the ground was lined with gravel to reduce water loss through evaporation.
