Praga Północ is located on the right side of the Vistula River, adjacent to Praga Południe to the south and Białołęka to the north.
Praga Północ is primarily characterized by buildings that survived World War II. It pleases the eyes of not only the inhabitants, but also tourists who discover the former Warsaw while walking along the streets. The axis of the district is Targowa Street, along which there are historic tenement houses from the 19th century. The oldest residential house in Targowa is now the seat of the Praga Museum of Warsaw and the Różycki Street Market.
Currently, Praga Północ is very popular, mainly due to its great location. From the taller buildings in Praga, there is a beautiful view of the left side of the Vistula and the river itself. This space is also of interest to developers who build premium apartment buildings here.
Praga Północ has been hailed as an artistic district due to the multitude of pubs, restaurants, art galleries located in atmospheric tenement houses on Ząbkowska, Inżynierska or 11 Listopada streets. Currently, many tenement houses are under renovation, which is to restore the old atmosphere of Old Praga.
