Upper Mokotów and Old Mokotów are located above the escarpment, in the north-western part of Mokotów. The wartime period left many traces on Mokotów, making these neighborhoods particularly distinctive in historical terms. Thanks to its largely preserved pre-war buildings and villa-like character, Old Mokotów is considered one of the most desirable and exclusive districts of the capital.
