Her love for Portugal began with art – from an encounter with a Portuguese painter who introduced her not only to local paintings but also to the country’s philosophy of life, light, rhythm, and aesthetics. For several years now, she has been living in the Algarve, actively involved in the real estate market, where she successfully combines experience in communication and relationship building with a deep understanding of the local market.
What made you decide to live and work there?
Portugal has always been close to my heart. It was in Lisbon that I completed my studies and truly began to explore the country. I began working with a Portuguese painter who showed me how beautiful and simple life can be “the Portuguese way.”
After years of traveling and living in various places around the world – including Qatar – I felt it was time to return to a place that makes me feel at home. Portugal was the natural choice.
Who are your clients most often, and what are they really looking for?
My clients are people seeking a work-life balance. They are often interested in purchasing property both for their own needs and as a form of investment.
The Algarve is an excellent location for short-term rentals, which is why many clients choose a model where they spend part of the year alone and the rest of the time entrust their property to professional management.
Many of them come to Portugal in autumn and winter, escaping the colder climate. It’s no wonder – in the Algarve, we enjoy over 300 days of sunshine a year!
What’s the process of reaching the right decision like?
It’s usually a long process. I always encourage clients to get to know the Algarve well before deciding to buy a property. This region is incredibly diverse. You can find modern villas near golf courses, comfortable apartments with terraces near the beach, or traditional Portuguese houses surrounded by olive trees. The possibilities are endless. The Algarve coastline stretches for over 150 kilometers, and each section has its own unique character. From vibrant Albufeira to Lagos, beloved by digital nomads, to quieter towns like Carvoeiro, Ferragudo, and Burgau, there’s a place for everyone to find a place that suits their lifestyle.
