A LITTLE OF HISTORY:

The house is located in a residential part of Wyględów and once belonged to the complex of the Osiedle Oficerska Spółdzielnia Budowlano-Mieszkanowa “Dom” housing estate at Fort Mokotów, which was built in the 1930s. The willa was built in 1935 according to the principles of modernism, which was dominant in architecture at that time, and more precisely in a variant of the international Esprit Nouveau style, as evidenced by the original plans and photographs from that period. In the 1970s, subsequent owners, inspired by a trip to Spain, remodeled the property, departing from the modernist tradition. The current owners decided to restore the historic character of the villa and in the years 2019 – 2023 they carried out a comprehensive reconstruction in order to restore the modernist character of the exterior and interior, but with the full use of new materials and technical solutions that increase the functionality of the building. During the renovation, the walls were insulated, all windows and installations were replaced, a modern stove was installed (obtaining high energy efficiency).

From the north, it borders on the vast Pole Mokotowskie park, where once there was an airport, and now it is a popular recreational place for Varsovians (with a water reservoir, lots of green areas and mobile cafes). In Wyględów there is a 19th-century Fort Mokotów, where fashionable restaurants are currently operating.
